The Winter Fashion Academy introduces students to the fundamentals of fashion design and how to present their design ideas using Photoshop, styling and customisation and creating looks to be used for an editorial fashion shoot.
This two-week course is designed to introduce you the various aspects of Fashion.
You will be exposed to an all round experience of the fashion industry, starting from trend sourcing and ending in setting up your own exhibition.
For the duration of the course you will be introduced to the fundamentals of fashion design and how to present your design ideas using Photoshop, styling and customisation and creating looks to be used for an editorial fashion shoot. You will be expected to utilise existing garments in order to restyle and customise them creating new and exciting looks.
Following your introduction to fashion styling and the creation of your looks you will be introduced to the fundamentals of setting up a complete editorial fashion shoot using the garments you have customised/created. You will have the unique chance to set up and conduct your own photo shoot based on all that you have learned. Finally you will explore editing the images with the use of Photoshop.
Working as teams you will develop your skills in window dressing by observing some of the most excitIng windows in the world and then exercising your own ideas.
The final outcome of the course will be an exhibition set by yourself that will give you the opportunity to showcase your work publicly.
The aim of this course is to present you with the basic concepts of fashion design, fashion styling and art direction through a series of lectures, practical workshops and exhibition/industry visits. At the end of the course you will have produced a solid body of work addressing various aspects of the fashion industry, which can be used for your future progression.

Explore and identify trends and how to develop a collection based on a chosen trend
How to communicate final design intentions as boards with the use of Photoshop
Understand the purpose of fashion styling in the apparel industry
Be able to innovate garments to a concept through customisation
Be able to organise a photo shoot and produce fashion photographs
Be able to digitally manipulate and edit images
Be able to direct a styled photo-shoot
Be able to organise an exhibition showcasing your fashion work
CESINE will award to every student that successfully pass the course with a Certificate of Completion and a transcript that will include total number ten (10) ECTS Credits. This credits are recognise for the MA in Packaging Design and Brand Management and MA in Luxury Brand Management and Fashion Communication.
