After you graduate, you’ll be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as an adult nurse. Our course follows the standards set by the NMC and also offers you option modules so you can tailor the content to your own interests.

🏁 Objetivos

- An understanding of global, national and environmental determinants of health and the role of the nurse in delivering nursing care at the individual population levels within the global context.

- A knowledge of theory of bioscience and its application to adult nursing care.

- Understanding the theories of social and environmental science and their application to nursing adults in different contexts psychological theory and its application to nursing practice and to understanding the relationship between mental, physical and emotional health.

- Seeing the patient in the context of their family and community and be able to conduct a complex needs assessment of the individual with this in mind.

- The ability to identify and use nursing interventions which promote good health at primary (eg health information giving and immunisations), secondary (eg advice on medication and symptom reduction) and tertiary levels (eg rehabilitation and employing strategies for adaptation to chronic conditions and to reducing the side effects of chronic health problems).

- Work independently and in collaboration with colleagues in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency groups to ensure that care is co-ordinated and that patients are the central focus of that co-ordination.
